Welcome to the upGrad School of Technology (uGSOT) Internship Challenge initiative website (“Site”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of this Site and participation in the uGSOT Internship Challenge (“Program”).

By accessing or using this Site, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the Site.

1. PURPOSE

The Site has been developed to facilitate registration and participation in the uGSOT Internship Challenge, a learning-based engagement program designed for students.

2. ELIGIBILITY AND PARENTAL CONSENT

The Program is intended primarily for students enrolled in schools (Grades 11 & 12) or equivalent, many of whom may be below 18 years of age.

If you are under 18 years of age (“Minor” or “Child”), you may use the Platform only under the supervision of your parent or legal guardian (“Parent”), who must register on your behalf and agree to all applicable Terms.

The uGSOT Initiative reserves the right to restrict or terminate access if it is discovered that valid parental consent has not been obtained.

3. REGISTRATION AND USER INFORMATION

To participate, users must complete the registration form on the Site with accurate and complete details, including name, email, phone number, parent/guardian contact, school name, class/grade, and other requested information. Users must ensure that all information provided is true and correct.

4. PROGRAM PARTICIPATION

Participation in the Program is voluntary and free of cost. The Program may include virtual sessions, assignments, evaluations, and certificates. The organizers reserve the right to modify, postpone, or cancel the Program without prior notice.

5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All materials, designs, and content available on the Site or used in connection with the Program (including text, graphics, videos, and logos) are owned by or licensed to the uGSOT.

6. MEDIA RELEASE

By participating in the Program, you (and your parent/guardian, where applicable) consent to the uGSOT Initiative using your name, photograph, video recordings, testimonials, and submissions for promotional, educational, or reporting purposes, in any media format, without additional consent or compensation.

7. COMMUNICATIONS

By registering for the Program, you consent to receive communications (emails, SMS, WhatsApp messages, or calls) from the uGSOT Initiative regarding updates, announcements, feedback, and future opportunities related to the Program or similar educational initiatives.

8. CONDUCT AND RESPONSIBILITY

Participants must act respectfully during all sessions and interactions. The organizers reserve the right to remove or disqualify any participant who violates these standards.

9. DISCLAIMER

The Site and Program are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. uGSOT makes no representations or warranties regarding accuracy, reliability, or completeness of the content or uninterrupted availability of the Site.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, uGSOT and its associates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or participation in the Program.

11. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising hereunder shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra.

PRIVACY POLICY

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect personal information such as name, email address, phone number, parent contact number, school name, grade/class, city, pincode, and other academic details. Non-personal data such as IP address and browser information may also be collected for analytics.

2. PURPOSE OF COLLECTION

We use collected data to manage registrations, send updates, issue certificates, maintain records, and share details of uGSOT offerings. We do not sell or rent user data.

3. OUR POLICY ON CHILDREN'S DATA

As outlined in our Terms of Use, this uGSOT Internship Challenge and the website are designed for students who may be minors. If you are below 18 years of age (“Minor” or “Child”), registration must be completed by your parent or legal guardian (“Parent”) on your behalf.

If you are a Parent and believe your Child has provided us with any personal data without consent, please contact us through the grievance channel available on the Site. Upon verification, we will promptly delete such information from our systems.

The provisions of this Privacy Policy apply equally to Children and adults. If any participant faces abuse or harassment during the Program, it must be reported through the Site for appropriate action.

4. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

All data is stored securely on servers with restricted access and retained only for as long as necessary. We employ reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect data from unauthorized access.

5. SHARING AND DISCLOSURE

We may share information with authorized team members, or external partners for certificate issuance, share details of uGSOT offerings with you, or when legally required. We do not share data with advertisers or unrelated third parties.

6. USER RIGHTS

Participants and their Parents have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data and withdraw consent by contacting us through the Site.

7. GOVERNING LAW

This Policy is governed by the laws of India and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra.
